As described by the designer: ‘ The Abstract Miter is a play on a classic knit pattern: the mitered square. The blanket begins with a square and is then mitered using the top and picked up stitches along one side. The final 2 colors are knit at right angles to each other giving a log cabin look at one corner. A deep garter border is knit while the pattern is worked so the only finishing is weaving in ends. The Abstract Miter is designed to use every yard of this gorgeous yarn so that there is no waste. And it is simple enough that you could make the blanket larger or smaller as is your preference. In addition to the color changes there is an alternating slipped stitch pattern. There are instructions on how to use the slipped stitch all over or to add a different texture all together.’
